Tell us a little about yourself:
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker by trade and an aspiring artist by night. I have a love of life and usually can see the beauty in just about everything. I love to be able to express myself and the world around me through color and textures and themes and abstracts and hope to share the joy of art with others.
What kinds of art do you create?
I have made many different types of genres of art including acrylic fluid pouring, hand-made jewelry from dried paint skins, embellished bottles and boxes, vintage mixed media and paintings on glass.
How did you get started?
I had a love of art from a very young age and remember always yearning for markers, crayons, paints, etc. As I got older, I won two juried art competitions and began to paint in oil. Raising children and developing my career led to a lapse in time until recently when I began to seriously start again with many different materials and ideas and started a small business called “PurpleAndCoal.”
In one sentence, briefly describe your artistic style:
I see beauty in people and the world and express the feelings through art!
