Tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Marc Pedraza, I was for the most part born and raised in Chicago Illinois. I’ve worked in a corporate environment for about 6 years now and it has begged me to appreciate the arts more than I could’ve imagined. I value this planet and the species we share it with very much. I feel that as a society we could improve on account of empathy, patience, acceptance and forgiveness- all qualities that I hope to emulate daily.
You can find Marc’s artwork on his instagram.
What kinds of art do you create?
I work with Acrylic, Charcoal, Oil Pastels and Clay. I believe that most of my artwork can be described as subtly abstract, many of which are portraits.
How did you get started?
I have actually been invested in the arts since childhood. I always had a talent for drawing and as I grew older I began to play with different mediums, Oil Pastels, Charcoals, Clay and finally Acrylic. After drawing for sometime as a child and enjoying it I had decided to try my hand at painting. I beat myself up over a lack of skill and vowed to never paint again. It wasn’t until recently in my adult hood did I decided to finally pick the brush back up. Ofcourse, like most artists, I was my own worst critic but this time I did not give up.
Describe your artistic style:
My artistic style is a visual presentation of my dreams, feelings and thoughts experienced regularly.
