Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a street artist from Chicago. I never spend any money on art supplies, hence the name Penny Pinch. All of the art supplies I use are either from the dumpster, given to me, or traded for. I believe that art is for everyone.
What kind of art do you create?
I make character-based paintings that usually have a thought bubble with a sarcastic thought. I prefer doing stickers and wheatpaste posters, but I also do installs, gallery work, canvases, and murals.
How did you get started?
I got started in 2012 after seeing a huge wheatpaste by the artist Gaia in Detroit.
How would you describe your artistic style?
My art is comforting, playful, and simplistic.
