A Chicago transplant from southwestern Wisconsin, Caitlin Jefko received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012. During her time at school she got her feet wet in many different departments and mediums which shaped her multimedia practice. Working intuitively and playfully, Caitlin’s work explores personal history, material experimentation, and craft aesthetic. A lover of classical portraiture, her work often celebrates human form and expression and aims to awaken a sense of collective connectedness through shared emotion with an unrelenting underlying whimsy. Caitlin’s work has been included in various group shows in Chicago and she continually works on new, happy little projects from her home studio.
