Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a Chicago native, currently living in the northwest side with my husband Sean. Though my 9-5 career is in healthcare, I spend the majority of my free time creating in my home studio.
What kind of art do you create?
My work examines how light and color fundamentally bring shapes to life. Using crisp lines, an engaging palette, and playing with space and movement, each work is a calm and vibrant respite from the maximalist distractions of modern life. Whether by shadow or greenery, my art suggests that life does exist right beyond the wall.
How did you get started?
I have always been an artist to some degree and have tried to incorporate creativity into every job that I have had. It wasn’t until recently that I have committed to making art as part of my daily practice and have the confidence to reach out to the local community and show my work.
How would you describe your artistic style?
My style is rooted in minimalism with a focus on the beauty of modern cityscapes and a dash of Palm Springs.
