Tell us a little about yourself:
My name is Renee Monaco and I am a shoe designer & painter based in NYC. Growing up in Chicago made me the hustler, dreamer, and artist that I am today. My memories of running around the city with my friends and eating hot dogs in the summer inspire my art so much. Those brief moments of pure happiness are what I try to obtain in my art. I want you to walk past my art and feel that little bit of happiness we all get to cherish only ever so often.

What kinds of art do you create?
I make moments of excitement and thrills into an immortal piece of art! I do this with acrylic, gems, and feathers on multiple mediums whether it is sculpture, wood or canvas.
How did you get started?
I have been painting all over the walls of my childhood home as long as I can remember. If I could get my hands on something that made a mark and place to make that mark I did it. Art has been a part of my ritual ever since I was a child and art has been consistent in my life and I am so grateful that I can share it with the world.
